Brighton Girls Camp is a mountain adventure camp for all young women (ages 11-14) at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, its purpose is to strengthen young women’s testimonies of Jesus Christ, and their identity as daughters of God.

Love cooking and be able to run a commercial kitchen and cook for large numbers of campers (200+), oversee kitchen staff, and receive the Safe Serve Certification.

Each week, you'll help feed about 200 hungry campers and staff, lead a team of Assistant Cooks and Kitchen Specialists, and serve up delicious meals with a side of gospel-centered love and laughter. You’ll work closely with the Brighton Leadership to keep everything running smoothly, spiritually, and on schedule. You’ll feed more than just stomachs—you’ll feed spirits. Your kitchen will be a place where love is served, laughter is shared, and lifelong friendships are formed.

Salary: $5,000
As a Kitchen Specialist (KS) at Brighton Camp, you’ll make camp magic happen with a spatula in one hand and a smile on your face. You will help feed around 200 hungry campers and staff each week.

• Must be 16-17 years of age and have completed sophomore year of high school
• Must have a good attitude and work well with others
Description: As a Kitchen Specialist (KS) at Brighton Camp, you’ll make camp magic happen with a spatula in one hand and a smile on your face. You will help feed around 200 hungry campers and staff each week. You’ll be part of the behind-the-scenes crew that keeps everyone fueled, happy, and ready for hikes, crafts, and testimony meetings. You’ll play an essential role in keeping camp running strong—one delicious meal at a time. It’s a job that requires energy, teamwork, and a love for service—but don’t worry, there's still plenty of time for fun, friendship, and meaningful camp moments. Being a Kitchen Specialist means more than cooking—it means serving with love, fueling life-changing experiences, and becoming part of a team that keeps camp running with purpose and heart.
Responsibilities: (What you’ll do.)
• Help prepare three meals a day for the whole camp—yes, that’s breakfast, lunch, AND dinner!
• Follows directions both verbally and written like a pro from the Head Cook and Kitchen Council.
• Work closely with your KS crew—it’s all about teamwork and keeping the good vibes going
• Expect to be on your feet a lot—this job isn’t for the faint of heart (but it IS for the full of heart).
• Keep the kitchen sparkling and follow all Utah Health Code guidelines (because safety is cool).
